My wife and I have been married since 1977. We have two accomplished children and two wonderful grandsons. We have been residents of the lower mainland for our entire married life.

Being an active community volunteer I have served on:

• 2004 Member of the Premier’s Advisory Panel on Literacy
• 1997-2001 Commissioner, Surrey Parks Recreation & Cultural Commission
• 1998-2000 Member of the Surrey YMCA Steering Committee
• 1998-1999 Member of the Surrey Museum and Archives, Steering Committee
• 1990-1991 Member of the Surrey Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees
